传YouTube与索尼续签全球视频音乐授权协议

视讯网 2月13日消息 据知情人士周四透露，流行在线视频网站YouTube已经与索尼音乐续签了全球授权协议。
索尼是全球第二大唱片公司。与索尼续签授权协议对于YouTube而言具有非常重要的意义，因为它与华纳音乐集团在去年12月因授权费的问题未能续签授权协议。华纳随后要求YouTube从网站上撤下了其所有音乐视频。
知情人士表示，索尼音乐认为YouTube庞大的用户群对于索尼旗下艺人以及歌迷们来说仍具有极高的价值。
据comScore发布的统计数据显示，截至去年12月，谷歌旗下YouTube的用户总数已经超过1亿人。
YouTube与环球音乐和百代EMI之间的音乐视频授权协议仍处于有效期。但是据知情人士透露，YouTube很快就要同这两家公司展开续签授权协议的谈判。
音乐视频现在已经成为各大唱片公司通过YouTube及新闻集团旗下MySpace等网站的数字服务获得收益的重要来源，而且也是唱片公司增长速度最快的数字收益来源之一。
在2006年与YouTube签订授权协议之后，各大唱片公司就一直希望能够提高它们在视频网站的收益分成。
用户每在YouTube网站上观看一个相关视频，唱片公司平均可获得0.5美分的收益；唱片公司还可以选择与视频网站共享其版权视频带来的广告收入。
YouTube自己也在努力扩展收益来源，减少支出费用。为了力争更有利于自己的合作条款，它将与唱片公司展开更激烈的谈判。
